Milestones: Elli is almost two! I can't believe it. This month she has been exerting her indepence a lot more. I've had to really try my patience as she stomps her foot when she wants something, whines when I tell her no, and is all over everything for church. I love her so much but two is a busy stage.
Things I love: Climbing, disney movies, cousins, both sets of grandparents, watching the cat in the hat
Memorable moments: We went and saw Santa, went to temple square, went on vacation to Lake Havasu, and had Christmas with both sides of our family (which I forgot to take a single picture!!), it was a very busy, very exciting month.
New words: My favorite quote from this month was when Elli while trying to get away from my mom said "Mimie, you're making me crazy!". She is always talking and is using sentences most of the time now.
Favorite foods: Mac N Cheese, cottage cheese, and any kind of candy
Favorite toys: baby dolls, stethiscope, and stuffed animals
Nicknames: Snuggle-bump, Turkey-liver, little love, lovey-do, button-boo, Beany baby, Elli Bean, stinker-butt, booger-boo, sweet pea, littlest love, monkey, baby love,
Mommy's thoughts: Elli is a little whirlwind lately. She's always so busy and never stops. Everytime I turn around shes climbing something or getting into something that she shouldn't be, it's quite exhausting even though I love watching her learn. We debated getting rid of her pacifier this month...yes she still uses it...She's only ever been aloud to have it for sleeping and she just uses it to fall asleep and then spits it out and doesn't use it again. I thought and thought about it...but we tried for a day or two and it was a nightmare and we decided that she's just not ready. I'm a firm believer in letting her do things at her own pace when she's ready for it, and it's always worked way better that way when we let her take the lead with things. She has her first dentist appointment next month and if he says her teeth are having problems then we'll get rid of it then, otherwise I'm just not in a hurry to make her grow up.
