37 Weeks

How far along? 37 weeks 0 days
Total weight gain/loss: Still sitting at 10 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Just the same ones, but sadly my best pair of maternity jeans is starting to crap out on me. They may not make it if I go another 3 weeks.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: It really just depends on the day. Overall I feel like it's pretty good.

Best moment this week: Getting officially finished with our nursery, getting to spend christmas in Cedar with our family.
Miss anything? I miss mostly just not having pelvic pain. I also miss my hips not hurting. And my leg not being numb, and being able to actually bend over comfortably. I had some kind rough days this last week. I overdid it on Saturday (working a 10 hour shift on a busy day) and then getting all the nursery stuff done on Sunday so I struggled a lot through my shift on Monday but then we got to go to cedar and I get a chance to relax for the next week.

Movement: Still all the time. It has reached a point where I think she is out of room to really kick much so I get mostly just a ton of pressure as she pushes against me.
Food cravings: This week I have stopped craving anything at all. I have to force myself to eat again actually.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I have good days and bad days now. I get kinda queasy when I have braxton hicks and when I get too thirsty.
Have you started to show yet: Most definitely.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: Braxton hicks, and I am almost positive that she has dropped now. My heartburn is a million times better, I can eat way more, I can breath better, and the first thing my mom said when she saw me this week was, "Wow, she is looking like she's sitting really low." On christmas I started having really painful back aches which were probably some kind of contraction in my back, at least I assume that's what they were, I have never felt anything like them, so I will have to ask the doctor about it at our next appointment.
Bell button in or out? Still in. I honestly don't think it will come out, but I don't want to jinx it.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: I have actually had some crazy emotional days this last week. I cried over the dumbest things, like a song on the radio I have heard a million times, and just other stupid things like that. I have probably cried more this week then I think I have the whole rest of my pregnancy.
Looking forward to: Getting this little girl here. We are getting so close I can't even believe it. I can't wait to meet her.

Baby is the size of a winter melon!
Yay, she has reached full term!
She likely measures around 18.9 to 20.9 inches and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. She's gaining about 1/2 ounce each day.
She's practicing some skills: inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking.
She's getting her first sticky poop (called meconium) ready for her first diaper.

36 Weeks!!

Well, we had an ultrasound this week to measure the baby since I haven't gained much. She is looking basically perfect. The doctor thinks she will probably be around 7 1/2 pounds when she is born. He says he will be surprised if she is over 8 pounds but I guess we will find out when she decides to come. Everything else is looking basically perfect so that's way exciting. I wasn't really worried but it is definitely good to be able to hear and see and have some reassurance that everything is still progressing exactly as it should be.

How far along? 36 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain/loss: I am at 10 pounds gained since I got pregnant, it's been creeping up a lot more here at the end. I think that is what happens when you actually like food again and don't exercise anymore.
Maternity clothes? I am actually really grateful that I have only had to get a few things. It's nice to know that after I have this girl I won't have a ton of clothes that I will never wear again.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: It could definitely could be worse, but it could be better. I only wake up a few times each night in general but I sleep pretty good in between those times what I get in a position that is comfortable enough for my hips.

Best moment this week: Finding out that everything is looking perfect with the baby and that we get to go to Cedar for Christmas.
Miss anything? I miss mostly just not having pelvic pain. My baby is sitting so low it hurts all the time now, but especially to walk around. I would say I preferred her being up in my ribs more, but she actually is still there too.

Movement: All the time. Pokes and jabs and rolls and all sorts of things. She is also hanging out mostly on my left side and so she is pinching a nerve so the skin on the whole outside of my left leg is numb and has been for a few weeks. It's a bizarre feeling.
Food cravings: Junk food. I just want junk food all the time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I have good days and bad days now. I get kinda queasy when I have braxton hicks and when I get too thirsty.
Have you started to show yet: Most definitely.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: Just lovely braxton hicks. I thought I would be excited to get those but I liked it better before I had them. It is nice though because I am 50% effaced at least already so I know they are most likely helping to do something.
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way!
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: I think I am happy for the most part. I have bad days for sure. I cried at church last week because I just felt absolutely terrible but overall I am really doing pretty good.
Looking forward to: Christmas, being done with this semester finally and having a chance to breath for a bit. This little girl getting here.

Baby is the size of a honeydew!
She's still in the 17.2 to 18.7 inch and 4.2 to 5.8 pound range and continues to beef up!
She's getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on her own.
Her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid.
Her liver and kidneys are in working order.
Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too!

35 Weeks

Poofy Dress! SO excited to get to dress our little angel up in things like this.

Holy cow! I look so much more pregnant than I think I do! I don't feel like I have a belly at all hardly until I look at things like this.

How far along? 35 weeks 0 days! Seriously can't believe I'm already that far along.
Total weight gain/loss: I am still at 7 pounds gained since I got pregnant. I'm really grateful I didn't gain like 100 pounds like I was scared I would, but since I am still technically considered to be low weight gain we are having an ultrasound next week to just make sure that the baby isn't too small. My doctor isn't at all worried, he says that all my other measurements are either perfect or actually measuring a little big, but he wants to make sure. I'm so excited to get to see our baby again!
Maternity clothes? I bought a super cute dress this week, but I haven't gotten very many, I've mostly just been making my normal wardrobe work and it's being doing quite nicely.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: It really just depends on the night. Some nights I'm asleep for 6 hours before I have to get up and go to the bathroom and so I sleep great, other nights I'm up every two hours all night long and want to scream by the time it's morning.

Best moment this week: We took a prenatal class this week. That was really great. I think it made Colton even more excited for everything since now he kind of has an idea of what to expect. It's so fun to see him so happy about the idea of bonding with and getting to hold his little girl. We also took some maternity pictures, and put a lot of the finishing touches on our nursery. We are almost ready for this little angel to come.
Miss anything? I miss being able to walk without feeling pain. I'm having a lot of ligament pain for some reason this week when I try to walk a ton.

Movement: All the time. We found out at my last appointment that she is actually sitting really low already, which is good, except that she hasn't actually dropped yet so now shes up in my ribs and crushing my pelvis at the same time. I have a feeling that she's going to be a really long baby.
Food cravings: Junk food. I just want greasy junk food all the time. It's been hard to refrain.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've started having some braxton hicks (I apparently was before but I didn't know it) and they make me kinda feel a little sick but other than that, not really too much.
Have you started to show yet: Most definitely.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: Just braxton hicks. I get checked at my next appointment to see if I am progressing at all yet. If I am I won't be cleared to travel for christmas so Colton and I will get to just celebrate our own instead. That will be kind of interesting.
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way!
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. I have bad days sure, who doesn't but unless I'm not feeling good then I am generally happy.
Looking forward to: Getting an ultrasound next week, also being done with finals and going out to dinner with Colton to celebrate the fact that we survived another semester.

Baby is the size of a coconut!
She's about 17.2 - 18.7 inches. From here on out, she won't get much longer, but she's plumping up.
She's now about 4.2 - 5.8lbs, and she'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth.
Her hearing is fully developed, and she responds best to high-pitched noises!

34 weeks. Only 6 more to go!

I have just started to notice the last few days that my jaw is kind of getting a little puffy. That's fun...
How far along? 34 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain/loss: Today at my 34 week appointment I had gained 7 pounds since I got pregnant. I am definitely starting to gain a little more now, though thanksgiving didn't help...I now have one of those appetites that people talk about with pregnancy. I want to eat constantly!! I have been trying to not let myself or at least not eat straight junk, but it hasn't been easy.
Maternity clothes? I'm about due to get another pair of maternity pants actually. The ones I have have been washed and worn so much that they are probably not going to make it another 6 weeks.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: Not as good as it was. I wake up tired basically every day, though not quite as fatigued as the beginning of my pregnancy but I'm starting to need naps again. Not the best things with finals coming up.

Best moment this week: Getting to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families. Since it's so close to my due date I may not get to travel for Christmas so it was even better that we got to go down. I also got to see one of my christmas presents from my in-laws. I won't spoil it, but it's awesome!
Miss anything? I miss being able to walk without feeling pain. I'm having a lot of ligament pain for some reason this week when I try to walk a ton.

Movement: All the time. She is staring to push so hard all the time. My mom got to feel her moving this week. That was fun.
Food cravings: In and Out burger, arby's, junk food basically. I just want to eat all the time and I want it to be greasy or sugary.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No but if I go too long without eating I do get heartburn, which thank heavens hasn't really been as much of a problem since I got myself a prescription for it.
Have you started to show yet: Most definitely. I can't really believe how much, although Sarah says she doesn't think I'm all that big for being 34 weeks.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no, not even any braxton hicks yet.
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way!
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. I have bad days sure, who doesn't but unless I'm not feeling good then I am generally happy.
Looking forward to: We are going to take some maternity pictures on Sunday and then pack our hospital bag and finish getting our nursery ready. That will be nice to be all prepared just in case. We also have a prenatal class on Saturday and then my work Christmas party where we get to go out for a nice dinner so that will be way fun.

Baby is the size of a butternut squash!
At less than 2 months to go, she weighs in at about 4.2lbs and measures about 17.2 - 18.7in!
She's urinating about a pint a day and can recognize my voice (and simple songs if I'm singing them!)

33 Weeks!!!

It's been kind of crazy to think about the fact that this is when my nephew Dusty was born. I can't even imagine going into labor right now. I haven't even packed my hospital bag yet! I had probably better do that sooner rather than later just to be safe...Only 7 weeks left max!

Excuse my scrounginess in this picture. I kept forgetting to take one when I looked really cute so I just finally had to take one regardless of what I was wearing.

How far along? 33 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain/loss: I am still up a grand total of 3 pounds I think. It may be a little more but not more than 5.
Maternity clothes? I'm really grateful that it doesn't seem like my hips have grown too much yet and I can still wear my regular pants with a belly band, but my maternity pants are so much more comfortable.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: On and off. Some nights I get a solid 7 hours before I even wake up to go to the bathroom and some nights I'm awake so much that by 5 am I'm ready to just get out of bed because I'm tired of even trying to sleep. Having a body pillow has helped a lot though so I definitely sleep more comfortably.

Best moment this week: Getting our diaper bag, seeing my sister, and hearing that everything is still looking perfect with the pregnancy and baby and that she is already head down as well. Also putting up our christmas decorations. I usually am a firm believer in waiting until after thanksgiving to do that but this year thanksgiving is so late! We bought a wreath for the door and everything and I got almost all of our presents wrapped. Love it. It's hard to believe that next year for Christmas we will have almost a one year old.
Miss anything? I feel like my stomach is so heavy and putting so much pressure on my hips all the time. I miss that not being here. I miss not having to go to the bathroom so much too.

Movement: Just as much as always. She doesn't kick anymore really, just pushes against things really hard. I think she probably is running out of room to kick really hard.
Food cravings: In and Out burger.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: People have started to comment this week on my belly. It's definitely getting bigger and bigger every day.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no, not even any braxton hicks yet. Which I guess is good? who knows.
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way! I dislike outie belly buttons and do not want one.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: It just depends on the day I think. I have been more tired this week and that makes me more moody in general than anything else. But I think my hormones must have shifted somehow because my skin cleared up beautifully and I have the least amount of zits I have had since I got pregnant. Definitely not complaining about that.
Looking forward to: Tomorrow we are going down to Cedar to spend the weekend down there for thanksgiving. I'm so excited to get to see family and eat good food.

Baby is the size of a durian!
She weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 lbs and measures bout 17.2 to 18.8 in. and she may grow up to full inch this week--amazing!
She's keeping her eyes open while awake.
She's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing.
Her bones are hardening.
She is going through (more) major brain development--that's one smart baby!

32 Weeks

So this whole pregnancy is just going by so incredibly fast. I can't believe that I'm only 8 weeks maximum away from meeting this little baby girl. I would like to know what happened to the rest of my pregnancy. Also crazy thought. Heaven forbid this would happen to me to, we are going to let her cook longer, but if my baby was born the same as my nephew Dusty then I would be having her next week!!! That's crazy. Cook a little longer okay baby Elli? At least 5 more weeks. 37 weeks at the earliest? That works for me. If you were healthy I wouldn't mind you coming earlier than your due date, but just don't come until at least then okay?

How far along? 32 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain/loss: I am still up a grand total of 3 pounds I think. It may be a little more but not more than 5.
Maternity clothes? Yep. I basically live it either them or sweats. Though I do still wear my normal work pants with a belly band.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: On and off this last week. Some nights I sleep good, some I wake up three or four times a night to go to the bathroom. Although I will admit I'm starting to feel kind of fatigued again like I did at the beginning of my pregnancy. I got my body pillow this week though and that has helped me be a little more comfortable.
Best moment this week: Getting Sarah's baby stuff to borrow and getting my house clean.
Miss anything? Being able to walk fast without being in pain and almost passing out because I can't breathe. being comfortable when I lay down or sit. But I'm pretty sure that is going to be getting worse over the next little while so I might as well not complain now.

Movement: Pretty much all the time. She's found a spot on the side of my ribs that she loves to kick and push herself up into. I love being able to feel her but it also is starting to get uncomfortable at the same time. I know I will miss it a lot though.
Food cravings: In and Out burger.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes. My belly is so much bigger than I think it is! When I look down it doesn't seem that big, then I see myself in a mirror or a picture and I'm like, "holy crap! Do I really look like that!" I also sometimes hit my stomach on stuff because it's bigger than I think.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no, not even any braxton hicks yet. Which I guess is good? who knows.
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way! I dislike outie belly buttons and do not want one.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: I have been pretty dang moody the last week. Colton told me I walked slow and I yelled at him. Twice... I have just been stressed about tests and feeling kinda depressed and that makes me moody but it's getting slowly better this week.
Looking forward to: This weekend we are putting up our Christmas decorations. It's early I know but I don't care! I'm so excited. I'm also looking forward to Thanksgiving!

Baby is the size of a squash!
Still growing, she weighs approximately 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches!

She's getting ready for her descent and is most likely in head down position.

Holy Crap! Week 31!

This is so weird to me because I honestly don't feel like my belly is all that big but when I look at pictures like this it seriously looks huge!

Okay, I seriously can't believe that I am 31 weeks pregnant!! I would like to know what happened to most of my pregnancy. I think about the fact that two weeks from where I'm at right now was when my nephew was born. I'm really hoping this little girl doesn't do that to us and scare us like that. After Christmas please? I'm starting to get more and more excited and more and more terrified for her to be here everyday. Colton is so excited. He tells me on almost a daily basis how excited he is for his little girl to be here. To be able to hold her, and cuddle her. He loves her so much, it seriously melts my heart to watch him. It makes me even more excited for her to be here too because I know that she is going to have the best daddy anyone could ask for. I'm pretty sure I've been nesting a little bit. My house is cleaner lately than it has been probably since we first got married and my OCD has kicked it up a notch the last little bit. That's okay though. I guess that means soon enough I will pack my hospital bag just in case. Hopefully I won't need it for at least another 7 weeks. We had my second baby shower this last weekend. My friend Blaire did it. She did such a fantastic job. Seriously. I'm so grateful for good friends and family who have done so much to support us and make sure that we have what we need. My parents bought us a crib!! Now we finally have that set up. It makes me feel so much more prepared, physically at least. It actually makes me less prepared mentally because it means it's getting closer and closer. My sister made this adorable car seat canopy for us, and so many other people have given us such cute and useful stuff. I'm just incredibly grateful for all of it. We are going down to my sisters this weekend to see what she has that we can borrow and then after than we will have just a few things left to get for her and then we will be completely set. I can't believe it. I expected that we would have to worry about getting so many more things but honestly, it's just about diapers is all. We truly are blessed.
Adorable car-seat cover made by my sister Sarah Beth love it so much!
The crib blanket and bumpers were made by Grandma Jill and the doll is a gift from Grandpa Clair.

Our crib! I love it. The blanket on the end is hand-quilted by her great-grandma Burguoyne and the blanket with the E was a gift from a few of my classmates. Super cute stuff. She is going to be spoiled.

How far along? 31 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain/loss: I have no idea at this point. One day I weight up about 3 pounds then the next day I am back to my starting weight. Who knows.
Maternity clothes? Yeah, I'm about ready to go buy a few more pairs of maternity pants.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: On and off. Not great but not terrible. My parents are buying me a body pillow this week so that will help I think.
Best moment this week: Having my baby shower. Seriously, Blaire did such a great job. I owe her dinner or something. Also getting my crib set up and realizing how few things we still need to get to be ready for this baby. We are so incredibly blessed, that is for sure.
Miss anything? I'm not sure. Not really anything right now. Honestly things are going pretty good overall.

Movement: It's kind of changed again, I think she's starting to have a lot less room because it's less rolling and hard kicking now and more just pushing out against my skin. I think it's going to be really strange after she is born to no longer feel all the sensations in my stomach all the time.
Food cravings: In and Out burger. And, last night I made Colton go buy me a pizza and I ate half of it.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way! I dislike outie belly buttons and do not want one.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Honestly, unless I'm feeling really crappy (which I have been getting some headaches the last few days) I am so incredibly happy. Like happier than I have been probably ever. I just feel so grateful all the time. And like my life is completely under control even when it's not and I don't know. It's weird, but it's happy!
Looking forward to: Going and seeing Sarah Beth and Dusty this weekend, and next weekend Colton told me that we could put up our Christmas stuff early because Thanksgiving is so late this year. I'm so excited! I love Christmas time. I did all of my shopping yesterday!

Baby is the size of a pineapple!
She's about 15.2 - 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 - 3.8 pounds!
She's getting so big, and crowding mommy's lungs.
She's going through major brain and nerve development.
Eye development too, her irises now react to light!
All five of her senses are in working order!

75% cooked! 30 weeks!!!

If i look exhausted in this picture, that's because I was. It had been a very long day.

How far along? 30 weeks 0 days! I'm officially 3/4 of the way through with my pregnancy! That's insane.
Total weight gain loss: According to my scale I'm back down to one pound over my starting weight. I don't know. It fluctuates so much.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I do still wear some normal pants but not as many.

Stretch marks? sadly yes.
Sleep: I am sleeping a little better again this week. The last few nights I have woken up with terrible charlie horses and had to stand up an stretch them out but I don't wake up quite as often to go to the bathroom so I guess it evens out.
Best moment this week: I finally got to see my belly moving from the outside this week. It is so amazing to see and feel that she is getting bigger and know that she is still doing okay. It's such a miracle to be able to see and feel it, although I have to admit, it also is kind of creepy.
Miss anything? I'm not sure. Not really anything right now. Honestly things are going pretty good overall.

Movement: All the time. As we speak actually she is kicking up into my ribs an just having a good ol' time in there.
Food cravings: In and Out burger.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way! I dislike outie belly buttons and do not want one.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to my salt lake baby shower that my friend Blaire is throwing for me. This Saturday! I'm also excited to get to see my parents and sister since they are coming up for it.

Baby is the size of a cucumber!
This 15.2 - 16.7 inch, 2.5 - 3.8 pound little baby continues to grow!
Her skin is getting smoother.
Her brain is getting wrinklier-- to make way for all that essential brain tissue.
She's now strong enough to grasp a finger!

29 Weeks

Well, I had my dreaded glucose test this week. It actually wasn't all that bad. Definitely not something I want to drink everyday by any means, but really I didn't mind it all that much. I never did get a phone call back on it though. The results were supposed to be in Monday and I would get a phone call. The doctor did say that if the results were normal then it was possible they would just file them and we would talk about it at my next appointment, but I may call anyway just to make sure that is what happened. I'm pretty excited if they are normal! Oh, update, I looked up the results on select health, because I remembered that I could do that. don't worry I have completely normal test results. Yay for not having to take the three hour test.

Ignore my messy house okay?

How far along? 29 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain loss: At my last appointment I had officially gained 3 pounds from my starting weight.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I still wear normal clothes with my belly band and I'm hoping I can continue to do that and that my hips don't get any wider.

Stretch marks? sadly I am starting to get a few now.
Sleep: I slept terrible this last week too. I am seriously so worn out from stress and not sleeping. I guess I had better get used to it huh?
Best moment this week: Gees, I don't know. I guess going to the doctor and hearing that everything is still looking good. It's great to hear that my little baby is growing perfectly so far.
Miss anything? This week I miss sleeping.

Movement: She moves less now, but she moves stronger when she does. And she pushes out a lot now rather than kicks out. It actually is starting to hurt though because she's high enough now to be almost under my ribs.
Food cravings: Not really anything.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in, and it had better stay that way! I dislike outie belly buttons and do not want one.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off. I miss wearing my ring so much. I was hoping I would get to wear it for longer.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to my salt lake baby shower that my friend Blaire is throwing for me.

Baby is the size of an acorn squash!
Already measures about 15.2-16.7 inches long.
Weighs about 2.5-3.8 pounds right now, but, still has a long way to go!
She'll triple her weight before birth!
She's getting a little cramped in there, since she's growing so fast.

She's growing white fat deposits under her skin, and her energy is surging because of it.

28 Weeks!

Well I had my first baby shower this last Saturday. It was really great. I'm super grateful to my sister and my mom for throwing it for me. We got some really adorable and useful stuff so I'm starting to feel much more prepared now to have this little girl. My sister posted the pictures from it on her blog, so here's the link to those. http://sblittlemiracle.blogspot.com/2013/10/baby-shower.html

That part aside, it was a very stressful hard weekend. My grandpa died and it was his funeral and it was just all around rough. I think I overdid the stress a little so I'm staying home from class today so this little girl gets a break from my freaking out. I'm just really thankful that I have the people in my life that I do have. For my family, and my in-laws and especially my husband. They are all so supportive of everything and willing to help out with anything and everything and it makes things so much easier.

I also have my glucose test this week. That will be...fun. I honestly don't mind too bad as long as I don't fail it. That would really suck. Or that I don't throw up after drinking the stuff like a few of my friends have. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. I don't want a giant baby since I have to give birth to her so I guess testing for diabetes is a good thing.

She is definitely getting out there. I am going to be huge by the time the next three months are over!!
And because nothing is complete unless there is a picture of me making a silly face, I had to include two pictures in here for this.

How far along? 28 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain loss: So, funny story. I ate really crappy over the last week and didn't ever exercise (I usually walk about an hour a day) and so when I weighed yesterday I was up 5 pounds from before. I was super surprised but it turns out today I'm right back down to my starting weight. Must have been mostly water retention from all the stress.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I still wear normal clothes with my belly band and I'm hoping I can continue to do that and that my hips don't get any wider.

Stretch marks? sadly I am starting to get a few now.
Sleep: I am not sure I can count last week. I slept horrible. Like probably the worst I have slept in a very long time. That is what stress and being in a different bed will do to you I guess. I'm starting to sleep a little better again the last few nights but I'm still pretty worn out.
Best moment this week: Having my baby shower and getting so much great stuff to prepare for this little one getting here.
Miss anything? Not having heart burn still.

Movement: Yes, it's changed quite a bit lately. Like basically overnight this last week my baby moved up like 3 inches and is now sitting at the very top of my stomach just below my ribs. She doesn't move near as often as she used to but she kicks way harder when she does move. She has started pushing outward on my now so suddenly I will have crazy pressure and a rock hard lump sticking out hard and I have to push her back in, which she doesn't like and then starts to kick like crazy. It's getting so fun!
Food cravings: Not really anything.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off. I miss wearing my ring so much. I was hoping I would get to wear it for longer.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to my salt lake baby shower that my friend Blaire is throwing for me.

Baby is the size of an eggplant!
Putting on layers of fat, she now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.
She's starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother.

Her lungs are mature enough that she'd probably survive if she was born now. Wow!

27 weeks and beginning of third trimester!!

So. I am officially into my third trimester now! I can't really believe that. I'm two thirds done being pregnant! It's gone by so incredibly fast already! Less than 3 months until this little girl gets here!

How far along? 27 weeks 0 days!
Total weight gain loss: Last time I weighed I was down two pounds still from my starting weight but it fluctuates around there. I'm just glad my doctor isn't too worried. I'm hoping it might mean we get another ultrasound at my next appointment. I would love to see my baby again.
Maternity clothes? Yep. I still wear my normal work pants with my belly band, but I am so much more comfortable when I wear maternity pants or sweats.

Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I really do sleep really good. I wake up between 5-7 every day to go to the bathroom but it could be so much worse. I'm also not near as tired right now as I have been so it's been kind of a nice break.
Best moment this week: I can now feel where my baby is sitting by where she is pushing up on my belly because there's a rock solid lump, it makes me smile.
Miss anything? Not having heart burn still.

Movement: YES!! So much, I honestly love it so much.
Food cravings: Not really anything.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yep. I am most definitely starting to get a belly.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly off. I miss wearing my ring so much. I was hoping I would get to wear it for longer.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: My first baby shower is this Saturday! I can't wait to finally get some exciting baby stuff and feel like she's getting closer to being here.

Baby #2 is the size of a rutabaga!
At 13.6 - 14.8 inches and 1.5 - 2.5 pounds, she's not just getting bigger, she's getting smarter.
She's practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.

She's showing brain activity! Her brain will keep on getting more complex.

26 Weeks

I honestly can't believe it. I'm out of the triple digits with days left now! Only 98 more days until shes due! We are officially past the age of viability. That being said, DO NOT COME YET!! I keep telling her. The earliest that she is allowed to be is 16 or 17 days, as long as she is healthy and fully cooked. Because lets face it, having her born while it's still 2013 would be awesome. My insurance deductible starts over January 1, I would get to claim her on my taxes for this year, and I'd get more time off to do school work from home before having to go back. She'll come whenever she's ready though I have no doubt.

Total weight gain/loss: Still right around my starting weight.
Maternity clothes? Yep. Seriously where have they been all my life. I may just always wear maternity jeans after the baby comes.

Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: Depends on the night, my back has been really hurting so I'm having a hard time getting comfortable, and I always wake up in the early morning needing to go to the bathroom, but overall it's been good.
Best moment this week: Spending time at a condo with my family and just getting to relax, also, having my house be clean. I love my husband for that more than I can even tell you.
Miss anything? Not having heartburn. Not having back pain, and not having fat fingers.

Movement: YES!! So much, I honestly love it so much.
Food cravings: Not really anything. Maybe in'n'out burger and strawberries and cream frappacinos from starbucks but nothing else really, and even those not much.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: Yep. I am most definitely starting to get a belly.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? Definitely off. I can't barely get it past my knuckle but not any farther than that. I just don't wear it anymore.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: MY BABY SHOWER in less than two weeks!! I can't wait! I'm so excited to feel a little more prepared for this little one. I just know we are going to get some cute and great stuff.

Baby #2 is the size of a head of lettuce!
She's still growing in the 13.6-14.8 inch and 1.5-2.5 pound range and developing her senses, features, and talents!
Her eyes are forming and will soon start to open.
Her eyelashes are grown now too!
She's getting her immune system ready for life on the outside by soaking up mommies antibodies.

She's taking breaths too. They're of amniotic fluid, not air, but it's still good practice.

25 weeks (and 24)

Well, I never got around to posting for week 24. Ooops. What can I say, life was so incredibly busy for us the last few weeks with school it just kind of slipped my mind a little. Oh well. We got some of the decorations put up in our nursery the last week. They turned out super cute I think. I can't wait to get everything else in there and set up so that it is all ready for her!

Total weight gain/loss: At my doctors appointment last wednesday I had actually lost two pounds from when I got pregnant. I don't think it has changed much since then. I was kind of nervous about that because I knew I wasn't gaining much weight but my doctor didn't seem too concerned. He said that the baby needs to grow but I don't necessarily have to but that we will watch close and if I don't start gaining soon then he will do another ultrasound just to make sure the baby is still on track with her growth. (She was exactly where she should be at my 20 week appointment). It's sad that it makes me slightly happy with this because I was so worried that I was going to gain like 80 pounds while I was pregnant so I'm glad that isn't the case. (I'm not trying to not gain though, I still eat plenty).
Maternity clothes? I finally bought a pair of maternity pants at DI this last week and now I'm going to have to buy more. They are so much more comfortable than just trying to make it work with my other pants and my belly band.

Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I've been waking up a few times lately a night either because I have the worlds worst heartburn or because I need to go to the bathroom, but I actually am starting to feel so much less tired lately. I haven't had to nap almost at all this week.
Best moment this week: Several. Getting our nursery started on decorating by getting my dots put up. I love them! The baby has started to kick so hard lately every morning and night and I can feel it really well from the outside. It also tickles me from the inside so I laugh really hard every time. The fact that while the doctor was trying to count the heartbeat at our appointment the little stinker kept kicking the doppler like 4 times so it took him forever to get the reading. She's such a little pill already. I love her!! Also, last friday Colton cleaned my whole apartment spotless which I was really stressed about how messy it was so I'm pretty happy.
Miss anything? Not having heartburn every second of my life. I hope the rumor is true that the more heartburn you have the more hair your baby will have. If it is true then I will give birth to a gorilla.

Movement: YES!! So much, I honestly love it so much.
Food cravings: Not really anything. Maybe in'n'out burger and strawberries and cream frappacinos from starbucks but nothing else really, and even those not much.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope. I'm super grateful that part seems to have passed for me. No zofran for over two weeks now. I'll take it.
Have you started to show yet: Yep. I am most definitely starting to get a belly.
Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: no
Bell button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? Definitely off. I can get it on once it a while but then it is crazy hard to get off so I just don't bother anymore. It makes me sad. My feet are actually starting to swell a little bit to. Not a ton but enough. I was hoping to avoid that part until the very end. I'm not sure what I will do about my work shoes.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy I think.
Looking forward to: We are going to stay in a condo this weekend with my family for conference. I seriously can't wait! Also, the baby shower that my mom and sister are throwing me is in less than three weeks. I love it and seriously can't wait until then. It makes things even more real!

Baby #2 is the size of a cantaloupe!
Her see-through skin is gradually becoming opaque.

And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.

Baby #2 is the size of a cauliflower!
She's enjoying her new sense of equilibrium--she now knows which way is up and which way is down.

She's growing more fat, and more hair too!!
