Milestones: Elli dances around like a crazy person now. She discovered Mickey Mouse Club house and Curious George. She laughs, tells jokes, got three of her canine teeth and moved up to a size 5 in diapers. She also climbs on everything now including the dining room table and everywhere she isn't supposed to go. She also had a nap strike for a few weeks so that was fun but she's back to napping again now. She can also now climb out of the tub and loves to do so and then run around naked like a crazy person. She also has gone potty on the actual potty a few times although we are still a ways from potty-training.

Memorable moments: Elli loves daycare so much. She doesn't ever cry anymore and hardly cares when you get there to pick her up. We also spent half the month in Cedar. She loves the chickens and is the chicken whisperer, they follow her around everywhere and let her pet them even though they run from everyone else. Every day now when Elli wakes up she just plays in her crib and is super happy until someone comes and gets her. It's so fun to see her so happy every morning. We also went for a hike to kanarville falls which Elli loved. She did so good. The broke ground on the Cedar City temple this month too! It is so exciting and Elli loved the ceremony. (read as tried to run around the entire time). She also got her first pair of cowboy boots and loves them so much.
New words: About a billion new words. She repeats everything. I've had to start being more careful what I say around here after catching her saying Oh Gosh, I guess there is worse things she could be repeating...

Mommy's thoughts: Elli has started refusing to let us rock her to sleep at night anymore and more and more falls alseep by herself. It makes me so sad. I'm so glad that she is growing up and gaining independce, yet I miss my little baby so much already. I'm so grateful that we didn't sleep train earlier and miss out on almost two years of sweet snuggles with that little girl. She is so smart and amazes me with everything she knows and says. She loves books so much and I love watching her love of it. I've missed getting to spend more time with her as I've had rotations for half the month but it's been good to see how much she loves daycare.
