8 Months Old.

I did this post a few days early. I wanted to have one last one update before Elli gets her cast on and then I will do a post all about her surgery. It just seemed easier that way. So Elli is about 5 days shy of 8 months old in all this.

Weight: 17.3 pounds
        Percentile: 57.9%
Height: 27 inches
        Percentile: 72.9%
Sleep: She goes back and forth. Some nights she wakes up one or two times and some nights she is up every two hours. She has started rolling to her stomach in her sleep but then she gets upset and wakes up. She still is a pretty crappy napper and will not nap longer than about 45 minutes at a time unless she is held and even held it's very rare that we get more than 45 minutes.
Clothing size: 6-9 or 6-12 months. Still in size 3 diapers and I have a few 3-6 month things I put her in still but they are starting to get pretty small.
Milestones: She got her very first tooth this month. She wasn't fussy at all and I didn't even notice it had come in at first, my only indication she was cutting it was she started biting when she nursed, but thankfully now that it's through she has stopped doing that. The next tooth will be fun because that thing is sharp, hopefully she won't bite then. She then played with it with her tongue the whole first day and had a bloody raw tongue for a few days. Very sad. She has started to pull up to standing and loving that. She loves to stand up even more than sitting. She is starting to roll herself around the room when you put her on the floor but still isn't very close to crawling yet. She just won't really try.
Special Outings: Elli went to daycare and sat outside on the grass a lot, but other than that there hasn't been too many things. We've been pretty busy working on school and went swimming lots of times since we won't be able to go for a few months as soon as she gets her cast on.
Month Highlights: Elli started daycare this month. It was very hard for mommy and daddy to drop her off but she seems to like it okay. She also had her very first non-family babysitters. Big month for a little button. She only goes two days a week so it isn't really too bad. She also got her first cold this month. She was very stuffy with a small cough and had a fever for a few days. We took her in and she was fine, just a virus she basically had to work through and slept a ton.
Big Changes: New teeth, lots more solids, sitting up great by herself and starting to pull herself by her arms. She also is starting to wave, try and clap, and give kisses when you ask her too.
Elli's Favorites: Paper. Always paper, any kind of food, kissing and talking to herself in the mirror, outside, being thrown up in the air, sitting in her high chair, drinking water, taking showers with mommy, chewing on her toothbrush, standing up, she also loves playing with her bottle of nasal saline. It's like on of her favorite toys. I'm pretty sure that she likes things that she isn't supposed to have the most and wants them rather than her toys. She is starting to like playing with stuffed animals but mostly just likes the tags on them.
Thoughts: This month has been a kind of hard one. We knew her surgery was coming up and have been dreading it. The idea of her going into surgery and then being in a cast for 3 months has been so hard to even consider. We have also both been doing school and so busy so that makes it so much harder. Elli has been so happy and cute lately, and loving standing up, and sitting so good that it is so hard to know she won't be able to do it for a while. I just hope it goes by quickly. I love that little girl so much, I can't imagine something happening to her.
